Why Turtleback Robotics Academy?

Where young minds build the future

Welcome to Turtleback Robotics Academy.

At Turtleback Robotics Academy, students do not just learn about robots.

They learn to design them, build them, program them, improve them, and ultimately use them to solve real-world problems.

Our Mission

Our mission is to develop the next generation of builders, engineers, innovators, and technology leaders through robotics.

Robotics is one of the most powerful learning tools available because it brings together mechanics, engineering, electronics, programming, problem-solving, and creativity into a single hands-on experience.

Students begin by learning how robots are built. Using materials such as cardboard, gears, bottle caps, bamboo sticks, strings, and other components, they design and construct mechanical systems that move and perform specific tasks. Through these projects, students learn how structures are built, how movement is created, and how individual components work together as a complete system.

As students advance, they explore how robots are powered and controlled. They learn about force, motion, energy, electricity, motors, sensors, and automation. They discover how engineers select different energy sources and technologies to solve different problems.

Next, students begin programming robots and interactive systems. They learn coding through games, animations, simulations, and robotics projects before progressing into industry-standard technologies such as Python, Java, Raspberry Pi, ESP32, and artificial intelligence.

As their skills grow, students combine mechanical design, electronics, sensors, software, and AI to create increasingly advanced robotic systems capable of sensing, analyzing, and responding to the world around them.

Every project builds upon the last. Students continuously strengthen their creativity, critical thinking, engineering knowledge, and technical abilities while learning how modern technology is designed and developed.

The future will be built with robotics, artificial intelligence, automation, and technology. By learning robotics today, students gain practical experience with the systems and technologies that are shaping tomorrow.

At Turtleback Robotics Academy, students do not just learn about robots.

They learn to design them, build them, program them, improve them, and ultimately use them to solve real-world problems.

How students work here

Students use real robotics, electronics, and fabrication equipment with staff instruction and supervision. Safety expectations are reviewed before equipment is used.

Students work toward completed projects they can demonstrate and explain.

Scout & Community Groups

We welcome inquiries from Scouting America units, Girl Scout troops, schools, and other youth organizations interested in robotics, coding, engineering, and 3D-design experiences. Contact us to discuss a group activity.
