Ways to Participate in After-School Robotics

Across our programs, students develop robotics skills through hands-on lessons, creative problem-solving, teamwork, and opportunities to apply what they learn. Families can choose an ongoing membership, a scheduled workshop, a 17+ workshop, or Full After-School: Five Days/Week.

Automatically renewing

Weekly Class Membership

The Weekly Class Membership is our standard recurring membership. It provides a consistent weekly schedule for students who want to build their robotics skills over time.

Members receive:

  • One instructional hour each week
  • Access to Turtleback Robotics lessons and learning activities
  • Access to internal competitions on Fridays
  • The regular attendance day may be changed once per month

The Weekly Class Membership is a recurring membership that renews automatically. Renewal and cancellation terms are provided during enrollment.

VIP Membership

The VIP Membership provides more instructional time and greater scheduling flexibility for students who want a deeper robotics experience.

VIP members receive:

  • Two hours of instruction on each of any three days per week
  • Six total instructional hours each week
  • Flexible attendance on any three available program days
  • Access to Turtleback Robotics lessons and learning activities
  • Friday internal competitions are additional to the six instructional hours

The VIP Membership is a recurring membership that renews automatically. Renewal and cancellation terms are provided during enrollment.

Workshops

Workshops are focused learning experiences with predetermined sessions. Topics, schedules, activities, and outcomes are defined in each workshop’s published description.

Workshops have fixed start and end dates and are not automatically renewing memberships. Registration applies only to the scheduled workshop, and participation ends on the published completion date.

17+ Learners

Full After-School: Five Days/Week

Program Overview

The Full After-School Robotics Lab

Full After-School: Five Days/Week is the program that includes five days and 15 total program hours each week. Students engage in hands-on robotics, coding, electronics, and maker-space activities every afternoon. They rotate between robotics builds, coding labs, electronics stations, and supervised maker-space challenges—progressing at their own pace with guided support.

Full After-School: Five Days/Week is not limited to the 4–7 PM lab. Enrollment also provides access to Turtleback’s in-person courses, workshops, training, and competitions listed on this website, as those opportunities are offered.

This program is built for families in the Tri-Cities who want a safe, structured place for kids who love learning, technology, robotics, and engineering.

Friday Internal Competitions

Weekly Class and VIP members have access to Friday internal competitions as additional time. A membership is not required. Non-members may register through the product page.

These competitions allow students to apply their lessons, test their ideas, solve new challenges, and build confidence through friendly competition. Dates, eligibility, pricing, and requirements are stated in the applicable product description.

The same enrollment process applies to every participation option. Families complete enrollment on the product page and in the Parent Portal.

What participation options are available?
