For the purposes of this policy, "user," "parent," or "you" refers to the adult or legal guardian providing information to Turtleback Robotics Academy.

We collect information necessary to operate our programs, communicate with families, and maintain a safe learning environment.

Payment Information

Paid enrollment is processed by Stripe, a third-party payment provider. Card details are entered on Stripe's checkout and are handled by Stripe. Turtleback keeps enrollment, billing-status, and receipt references needed to operate your account. Declining optional website tracking does not change whether a payment succeeds.

Google Sign-In

If a parent chooses Google sign-in when that option is available, Turtleback receives the limited identity information needed to authenticate the parent: a Google account identifier and a verified email address. We request only those sign-in scopes. We do not request access to Gmail, Google Contacts, Drive, Calendar, or other Google services. Google sign-in is an authentication feature, not advertising consent. Using email and password instead remains available.

Non-Personal Information

When visitors access our website, certain technical information may be collected automatically, including:

• Website usage patterns
• Pages visited and session duration
• Date and time of access

Some of this information is needed to operate the website and keep accounts secure. Optional analytics and advertising tools, described below, may collect similar technical information unless you have declined optional tracking.

Our programs serve children, but our website and enrollment systems are intended for adults and legal guardians.

8. Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising

We use cookies and similar browser storage for two different purposes.

Essential technologies

Sign-in sessions, security tokens, and similar storage are required to create an account, stay signed in, enroll, pay, and use the Client Portal. These are not optional advertising tools. Turning off all cookies in your browser may prevent the site from working.

Optional measurement

Unless you have declined optional tracking, we may use:

• Google advertising and analytics tags on the marketing site and Program Catalog
• Microsoft advertising measurement (and related Microsoft analytics) on the marketing site
• A Meta advertising pixel on the Program Catalog / Client Portal
• A visitor tracker used with our communications provider on the marketing site

These tools may set their own cookies or use local/session storage. They are not required to browse Courses, create or sign into a Family account, manage Students, enroll, complete forms, pay through Stripe, or use the Client Portal.

If you have declined optional tracking, those optional scripts are not loaded. An existing stored decline preference continues to be honored.

9. Service providers

We use service providers to operate the academy, including website hosting, the Program Catalog and Client Portal, payment processing (Stripe), email/communications tools, and—when a parent chooses it— Google sign-in. These providers receive only the information needed to perform their service for Turtleback.

10. Policy Updates

Turtleback Robotics Academy reserves the right to update or modify this Privacy Policy when necessary. Any revisions will be posted on our website with an updated effective date.

Continued use of our services after policy updates indicates acceptance of the revised terms.
